Hi Kevin, thank you for this input. I took the role of someone with the view you present above. The conservative parent expressed concern that taking time to define academic focus detracted from our purpose to find agreement about bathrooms. That parent then suggested the modified criterion "whatever we decide will support the students in their learning" which we unanimously supported. Does that satisfy you as well?
